This is done through a variety of initiatives including: “Bringing Nuclear into the Classroom;” SSNI (Southeastern Summer Nuclear Institute); Nuclear Blitz teach-ins; Lifelong Learning Academy teaching; and scholarships for students and scientists. Check out their work and the resources available on our Classroom Page.

Essay Contest and Educator Grant Program

The Essay Contest and Educator Grant Program are overseen by subcommittees. They review submissions for these programs each spring.

CNTA has sponsored the Essay Contest for the last fifteen years and has awarded scholarships totaling over $175,000 to local students and schools.

The Educator Grants Program was launched in 2019 with the goal of providing resources to area STEM teachers. In the last three years, it has helped over dozen area teachers provide unique learning opportunities for their students.

Volunteers attend meetings, help solicit submissions for contest, review submissions, and select winners.
