Description: The goal of the Education Committee is to educate the public on the benefits, uses, and truths of nuclear technology. This is done through several initiatives: “Bringing Nuclear into the Classroom,” SSNI, Nuclear Blitz teach-ins, Lifelong Learning Academy teaching, and scholarships for students and scientists. Volunteers for this committee attend meetings, plan educational outreach events, and volunteer at educational outreach events.
Description: The Scholarship Committee oversees scholarship application solicitation and selection for the Robert Maher memorial scholarship. Volunteers attend meetings, seek out sponsors, help solicit applications for scholarships, read through, and judge applications.

Essay and Video Contests
Description: The Essay and Video Contests Committee oversees submissions for the essay and video contests for middle and high school students. CNTA has sponsored the contest for the last twelve years and has awarded 42 scholarships totaling $63,000 to local students and schools. Volunteers attend meetings, help solicit submissions for contest, review submissions, and select winners.
