Dave is now the Principal Engineer in Information and Control systems at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL)\, Canada’s premier nuclear science and technology organization. He supports senior leadership strategy decisions related to Research and Development activities. His particular expertise is in the areas of cyber security\, supervisory control and data acquisition systems\, real-time software development for mission critical systems\, standards compliance\, and project management. Dave has been instrumental in establishing CNL’s research capability in cyber security for industrial control systems\, securing investment in multi-million dollar projects and facilities as well as establishing international partnerships and collaborating relationships. \nGus Tomé has over 17 years of Information Technology engineering and critical system design experience\, including 11 years as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Blue Canopy Group\, now part of Jacobs Engineering Group. As Blue Canopy’s Cyber Business Unit Leader and Jacobs Division VP\, Gus is a main cyber innovator and strategist highly experienced in the design\, deployment\, and management of secure networking architectures. He is a major contributor and author of several patents focused on trusted operations\, embedded devices hardening\, and Next Generation Cyber tools. The command’s mission is to develop and provide combat-ready forces for nuclear deterrence and global strike operations. The command’s nine wings control the nation’s entire inventory of Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile and B-1\, B-2 and B-52 bomber aircraft. \nAs Chief Scientist\, Dr. Miller is responsible for organizing\, training\, equipping\, maintaining\, and preparing Air Force Global Strike Command’s activities in the area of the science\, technology\, and innovation. \nDr. Miller is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering and earned a Masters and Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He is an alumnus of the Savannah River National Laboratory where he completed an engineering internship in 1990 prior to entering active duty as an Air Force officer.
